Terms & conditions
Last updated:
These terms apply to every booking made on entreceibas.com. By booking, you accept what's in the first six sections. Further down is a full copy of app.entreceibas.com's terms — the map, routes and events platform — which govern if you also create an account there.
1
Who sells to you
Entre Ceibas charges you and answers for your booking, even when the experience is run by a partner. Partner experiences enter the catalog as Entre Ceibas' own products in our booking system (Bókun): we charge the customer and then coordinate the date and payment with the provider. If something goes wrong, your counterpart is us, not the operator.
2
Bookings and payments
Payment is processed through Bókun, our booking system, in a calendar embedded on each experience's page. Your confirmation arrives by email when checkout finishes. The price shown in the booking calendar is the final price; the "from" price shown in listings is a reference and can lag up to 6 hours behind.
3
Cancellations
Each experience has its own cancellation policy, published on its page before you book. As a general rule, partner-operated experiences are non-refundable or have a short cancellation window: we don't get our payment back from the provider if you cancel late either, so we can't refund you.
4
If the provider doesn't deliver
You bought from Entre Ceibas, not from the provider: if a partner experience isn't delivered as offered (the guide doesn't show up, the operator cancels without notice, what's published on the page isn't honored), you claim with us and we settle with the provider on our end. Depending on the case, that means rescheduling the experience, offering an equivalent alternative, or refunding you.
To file a claim, message us on WhatsApp or write to our contact email with your booking reference within 30 days of the experience date.
5
Changes on our side
If we have to cancel for weather, safety or not meeting the minimum group size, we reschedule you at no cost or refund 100% of your payment. You choose which one you prefer.
6
Your responsibility
The activities booked here are physical, outdoor activities. You're responsible for showing up able to do them, bringing the gear each experience's page asks for, and following your guide's instructions. The assumption-of-risk section of app.entreceibas.com's terms (below) covers this in more detail and also applies to experiences booked here, to the extent relevant to activities run by Entre Ceibas or its partners.
7
The terms of app.entreceibas.com
What follows, from section 8 onward, is a full copy of the Terms of Service of app.entreceibas.com (the platform — map, routes, events, clubs, profile), as published there, last updated on July 22, 2026. They apply if you also create an account in the app — for example, with the same email you booked with, from Booking confirmed. Booking here does not by itself create that account.
8
Acceptance of the terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Entre Ceibas, Sociedad Anónima ("Entre Ceibas", "we", "us"), a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Guatemala, regarding your use of the Nawal Trails platform (the "Service"), a technology product operated by Entre Ceibas, S.A.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
The processing of your personal data in the app is governed by its Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

User accounts
10.1
Registration
To access certain features you must create an account with your email address and a password. We may enable sign-in through external providers in the future.
To register for events you must complete the initial onboarding process, which includes your date of birth, your identity document (Guatemalan DPI or passport), a phone number and emergency contact details.
10.2
Accuracy of information
You represent that the information you provide is truthful, accurate and up to date, in particular your identity, your date of birth and your emergency contact details. Providing false information is grounds for immediate suspension or cancellation of your account and may prevent you from taking part in in-person activities.
A single identity document may not be linked to more than one account.
10.3
Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
10.4
Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. People aged 13 to 17 may only use the Service with the knowledge and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, and their participation in in-person activities requires the express authorization of a responsible adult, who must accompany them or authorize their participation in writing before the organizer.
Booking experiences, making reservations or making payments through the Service requires being of legal age under Guatemalan law.
By registering you declare that you meet these requirements.
11
Acceptable use
When using Nawal Trails, you agree not to:
- Post, transmit or distribute false, misleading or offensive content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Impersonate another person or use someone else's identity information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the systems, data or accounts of the Service.
- Use the Service for illegal activities or activities that breach any applicable law.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or of its users.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the Service without prior written authorization from Entre Ceibas.
- Commercially reuse the tracks, GPX files or content of the platform without authorization.
We may suspend or cancel your account if you breach these conditions, without prior notice.
12
User-generated content
If you post content on the Service (profile name, bio, photo, comments, images or any other material), you represent that you own it or that you hold the rights necessary to publish it.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce and display that content for the sole purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You may withdraw your content at any time by deleting it or by requesting the deletion of your account.
We may remove content that we consider to be in breach of these Terms, without prior notice.
13
Routes, physical activity and assumption of risk
You expressly acknowledge and accept the following:
13.1
Inherent risk of outdoor activities
Outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, active mobility and similar) involve inherent risks, including injury, accidents, adverse weather, difficult terrain, vehicle traffic and other hazards. It is your responsibility to assess your abilities, your health, your preparation and your equipment, and to comply with traffic laws, local rules, permitted access, and to respect private property and the communities the routes pass through.
13.2
Informational use of routes (self-guided activity)
Route information (difficulty, distance, conditions, maps, GPX files, points of interest) is for reference only and may not reflect actual conditions at the time of your activity. Tracks may contain inaccuracies or cross terrain whose access has changed.
When you use this information to head out on your own, you participate at your own risk and responsibility: in that scenario Entre Ceibas is neither the organizer nor the guide of the activity and does not guarantee the safety or passability of the routes.
13.3
Events and experiences organized through the platform
- When the activity is operated directly by Entre Ceibas, we assume the responsibilities that correspond to us as organizer, in accordance with the specific conditions published for each activity.
- When the activity is operated by a third party (club, organizer or provider), Entre Ceibas acts solely as a platform that facilitates discovery and registration. The third-party organizer is solely responsible for planning, running and ensuring the safety of the activity.
Each event or experience will identify the responsible operator.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Entre Ceibas will not be liable for injury, damage or loss arising from your participation in self-guided activities (§13.2) or in activities operated by third parties (§13.3).
13.4
Emergency and health data
When you register for an event you provide an emergency contact and, optionally, information about medical conditions and allergies. You authorize the organizing team of that activity to access this information solely in order to assist you in an emergency and to contact the person you designated.
It is your responsibility to keep that information accurate and up to date. Entre Ceibas will not be liable for consequences arising from incomplete, outdated or false emergency information.
14
Event registration
- Registration for an event is personal and non-transferable and is subject to available capacity. Once an event reaches its maximum capacity, the system does not accept new registrations.
- You may cancel your registration for a free event at any time from the platform. We ask you to do so as far in advance as possible so the spot can be released.
- The organizer may change the date, meeting point or conditions of an event, or cancel it, for reasons of force majeure, weather or safety. We will try to notify you as far in advance as possible.
- The organizer may refuse participation to anyone who does not meet the published requirements (age, minimum equipment, physical condition, identity verification at check-in).
- At in-person events, the organizing team may record the attendance of people who show up without prior registration, when the event allows it.
15
Bookings, payments and transactions
Feature not active in the app. As of today, app.entreceibas.com does not process online payments and all events published there are free. This section will apply once the app enables payments. Paid bookings on entreceibas.com (section 2 above) are a separate system: they're already live, via Bókun.
When the Service allows bookings or payments:
- Prices, conditions, availability and cancellation policies will be shown before you confirm the transaction.
- Payments will be processed through Recurrente. By making a transaction you also accept Recurrente's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
- The refund and cancellation policies for each activity will be stated at the time of purchase and, where applicable, will be set by the responsible operator.
- For activities operated by third parties, Entre Ceibas acts as an intermediary platform facilitating the booking and the payment; the organizer is responsible for delivering the contracted service. For activities operated directly by Entre Ceibas, we are responsible for the sale and invoicing.
- Where redeemable benefits are offered at partner businesses, those benefits are subject to each business's conditions. Entre Ceibas is not responsible for the products or services provided by those third parties.
16
Intellectual property
All content, design, source code, trademarks, logos, tracks and other elements of the Service are the property of Entre Ceibas, Sociedad Anónima, or of their respective owners, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted no license or right over the intellectual property of Entre Ceibas beyond the personal, non-commercial use of the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Base maps are provided by third parties and are subject to their own licenses and attributions.
17
Third-party content
The Service may include links or references to third-party websites, events, maps or platforms. Entre Ceibas does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement or association.
18
Service availability
The Service is offered without any guarantee of continuous availability. We may carry out maintenance, updates or scheduled and unscheduled interruptions. Nawal Trails is under active development, so its features may change and some data may be lost or modified during that process.
19
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Entre Ceibas does not warrant that the Service will be free of errors or interruptions, that it will be completely secure, or that route information is accurate or up to date.
- In no event will Entre Ceibas be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
- The total liability of Entre Ceibas towards you, for any cause, is limited to the amount you have paid for use of the Service in the last three (3) months, or one hundred United States dollars (USD 100.00), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Guatemalan law, in particular for willful misconduct or gross negligence.
20
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Entre Ceibas, its directors, employees and collaborators from any claim, damage, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) the falsity of the information you provided.
21
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through a notice on the platform or by email at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after that period implies your acceptance of the new Terms.
If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your account before they take effect.
22
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and request the deletion of your account by writing to soporte@entreceibas.com. Entre Ceibas may suspend or cancel your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without prior notice.
Provisions that by their nature must survive termination (intellectual property, assumption of risk, limitation of liability, indemnification) will remain in force.
23
Governing law, jurisdiction and general provisions
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala. For any dispute, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Guatemala City.
If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Entre Ceibas's failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties.
app.entreceibas.com has its own terms of use — the full copy is above, from section 8 onward. Booking on entreceibas.com does not by itself create an account in the app.
